Hardwood plywood is a manufactured plywood panel in which the core is made up of three or more layers, with Asian hardwood species (like poplar, eucalyptus, etc.) The face species can be different from hardwood nature veneered or Engineered veneer that is reconstituted and colored.  These surfaces are a durable and cost-effective alternative to solid wood while also showcasing the natural beauty of the wood.

There are 3 types of glue:

• Commerical plywood: interior use (EN 363-1) Glue type: UF for dry condition
• Melamine glue (Exterior use) (EN 636-2), Glue type: MUF for humid condition
• Phenolic glue (WBP) (EN 636-3), marine plywood for weather-resistant applications.

The grading of glue is defined according to European standard EN 314-2 Class I, II, III.
The formaldehyde Emission standard: E0, E1, E2 according to EN 717-2, Carb, JAS F****

Types of plywood

Non-structural plywood: It is an economic plywood sheet that can be used for internal and protected external in dry and humid conditions.  It is for general use in a broad range of applications from hoardings to furniture and wall linings.

Structural plywood: Used in permanent structures where high strength is needed. This includes flooring, beams, formwork, and bracing panels. It can be made from softwood or hardwood. External plywood: Used on exterior surfaces where a decorative or aesthetic finish is important. It is not used to bear loads or stress, such as on exterior door surfaces, and wall cladding. 

Interior plywood: This has a beautiful finish, for non-structural applications like wall paneling, ceilings, and furniture. 

Exterior plywood: It is specially treated using preservatives, paint, or varnish, to resist water damage. It is used in shipbuilding, resists fungal attacks, and does not delaminate.
