About Bamboo
Actually a grass, bamboo is one of the strongest materials in the world. It has a tensile strength superior to cold rolled and a compressive strength higher than concrete. It is 25% harder than red oak and 12% harder than North American maple. Bamboo is also a renewable natural resource that grows much faster than hardwoods.
Bamboo can be selectively harvested every year without destroying the green plantation on earth, the bamboo stems will sprout new shoots in the next rainy season and it takes only 4 to 6 years for the bamboo to grow to its full maturity while it takes scores or even hundreds of years for that of a tree. With its fast growth and short harvest period. Bamboo is considered to be one of the most environmentally sustainable flooring materials available today.
Why Bamboo?
1) Ecologically Friendly----Bamboo is made from natural vegetation.
The bamboo plant is a highly renewable resource that is able to grow to maturity in as little as three to five years. This is much faster than hardwood trees which can take upwards of twenty years or more to reach maturity.
2)Tough----our EH bamboo floors are harder than most hardwood.
3)Easy Clean----bamboo floors could be wiped clean in few minutes.
4)Fresh Look----Natural Beauty, Perfect for Your Home.
5) Easy Maintenance----Bamboo is relatively easy to maintain.
You just have to sweep or vacuum it regularly to remove small particle debris. You can also occasional damp mop it, or clean it with a non-wax, non-alkaline, hardwood or bamboo floor cleanser.
6)Water Resistant: This material is slightly more resistant to water damage, stains, and warping than hardwood materials, although it is still a concern.
7)Natural Material: The use of natural materials is an important trend in the construction industry right now. As people are becoming more ecologically conscious they are demanding products that reflect these values. They are also seeking materials and designs that reject the modern cookie cutter world and instead focus on individual personality and natural evolution.
8)Price: Bamboo floors have very competitive prices, help you save some purchasing money.
9)Durability: There are certain types of bamboo that can be extremely strong, hard, and durable. Natural, un-carbonized bamboo that was properly harvested and manufactured can be as durable as red oak. Strand woven bamboo can be manufactured even harder than that.
10)Style: Bamboo is a trendy flooring material that can elevate the elegance of a space almost instantly. It has an appearance and a feel that is similar to hardwood and yet is still distinct and different. This can add an ineffable quality to a room.
No matter its Aesthetics, Properties or Environmental Benefits or price. It has all the unique advantage to gain fast popularity across the European, North America, Asia and other countries.
